Digital Communities

HopMedia created it first digital community in 1986 with a 8086 chip Heathkit computer running C/PM operating system and a single dial up line.

In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s HopMedia began to sell C/PM mother boards and modems to Latin America and helped create and define the first distribution channels selling to thriving special interest digital communities. The distribution channels we sold to later became more defined as distributions channels for internet hardware and software and many of our customers grew to become among the largest ISP in Latin America.
